What's meant to be will always find a way...

2010 has been a year of life changing events, some for worse and some for better.  The biggest and most important lessons I've learned through them all are to always follow/be true to your heart and to remember that in time what's meant to be will always find a way.  I was never much a believer in the 2nd one.  I always thought that's just what people say when things get tough and never really took to heart where patience, perseverance and faith can lead you.  For me, it's lead me back to Beau.

Beau and I seem to have got "Our Story" down pact now that we have been back together for about 3 months.  We dated for about a year and half in college at USF where we met with all of his fraternity brothers (Sigma Chi) and my sorority sisters (Tri Delta) at Olive Garden.  There was a mutual, instant attraction and curiosity to get to know each other and once we were introduced we started dating instantly.

Having met when we were having the times of our lives in college, having a serious girlfriend was necessarily on Beau's radar.  We broke up, but got back together quickly as we realized we were in love and crazy about each other.  It seemed as though timing was not on our side as being Beau's first love in his early twenties seemed too good to be true and too much too soon all at the same time.  Heartbroken, we parted but I always knew things were unfinished between us.

To hide my heartbreak I quickly began dating and tried to move on.  3 and half years later and a whole lot of life lessons in between, I found my self back in Orlando, living with my mom and job searching when I realized that Beau lives in Orlando too.  After all this time, I still thought of him often and figured now was my chance to tell him so.  I did and he felt the same way and here we are back in each others arms, just as much in love, a little more mature and smart enough to realize how lucky we are to have found each other again.

I'm the happiest I've ever been!  I'm living in a city/town I've always loved, surrounded by close family and friends who have been my rock through everything, an amazing new job and over the moon in love.  It's hard for me not to find reasons to smile these days and after all I've been through, It feels really good!  Thanks for looking out Dad

Shop The Closet: July

imageOh how I'd die for the DVFBrightonDress! Looooooooooooooooooooooooove!$545.........................not looooooooooooooooove :(  The sad truth of designer clothes....high prices that are far out of my reach!

When in New Jersey...FIST PUMP!

I had a beautiful weekend with the Henline (Mom's side) of the family as we all traveled to the Garden State to celebrate my cousin Leslie's wedding in Princeton, New Jersey.  Princeton is adorable!  Wish I could live in a cute town like that whenever I start a family of my own.  It just had so much charm to it.

After massive delays traveling from Laredo to Houston and Houston to La Guardia I finally managed to meet up with my mom and sister in NYC and from there we took a train to NJ.  Although we missed the rehearsal dinner due to my delays from Hurricane Alex, we managed to get there eventually and started our fun weekend at the beautiful Nassau Inn.  The hotel was a great location for the wedding so kudos to my cousin and her new hubby for their choice! Loved it!

The Nassau Inn is right in the heart of the cutest little shopping area ever, Palmer's Square.  Of course my sister and I couldn't resist the fab boutique shopping and what do you know, I came home with a great purchase- one gorge pair of peep toe heels! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Can't wait till this delivery shows up on my front door!  And the best part, 30% off! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Nine West!

Leslie and Andrew had a beautiful outdoor wedding at the hotel and so much so that people stopped in the streets to watch my Uncle Roy walk Leslie down the aisle.  It was a picture perfect Garden Wedding and I loved so many things about it!  I wish I had pictures to post but I let my mom's camera and cousin Claire tackle that so hopefully I'll get my hands on some of those soon.

We danced fist pumped the night away to an seriously awesome music selection.  Makes me re think wanting to have rap/hip hop/clubby music at my wedding because they did it right and it was SO fun! My feet and legs hurt so bad the next morning not to mention I may have had one too many margaritas but a wonderful night with my family celebrating a wedding....totally worth it!

We spent the 4th of July weekend at my Aunt Snookie's house.  Yes. I have an aunt who lives in New Jersey and her nick name is Snookie.  My grandpa nicked named her that many years ago I learned so obviously it's a mere coincidence to all you Jersey Shore fans.   Her real name is Claire :)  I just loved the neighborhood that my aunt lives in- Collingswood, NJ.  All the house are 3 story and are historical so that are regulations on things you can do to your home there to keep the old town charm of it all.  We sat our back in her garden and drank, Jeremiah Weed, which were delicious and spent time together.

All of my cousin's kids were playing in the pool and we just all enjoyed each other's company.  I got to see Wawa for the first time which is a place my boyfriend, Jeff, always told me about since he grew up in New Jersey and I have to say- it's kind of AWESOME!  I totally get every one's obsession with the place.
We had an amazing time at the local high school in Collingswood where we saw a pretty great firework display.  Having grown up with Disney and Universal in my backyard I had high expectations and they were surpassed for sure- and we didn't even have to pay to park! LOVE IT! Check it out!!

After an early morning of flying I made it back safe and sound to Texas with enough energy left to give my Mason some extra love and attention for turning 3 years old! Happy Birthday Mase Mase! Your Momma loves you!!!!

I wonder how much I'll like blogging?

So here I am starting a blog!  It's been somewhat of a long time coming but I have been slightly resistant to committing to one for fear I'll only blog out of obligation rather than desire to write and share with family and friends. I'm hoping I can try doing it once a week and see how it goes!  I'm going to give it my best try.

I started reading a lot of blogs after I recently moved to Texas to help pass the time while I was unemployed.  Then the thought occured to me that maybe I should write one.  I always had the thought in the back of my head of one day writing my life's story in the form of a book- so I think for now blogging will be the best way :)

It seems like most people blog to share good news, bad news, chronicle different aspects of their lives and express themselves. So here it goes!

I titled my blog a heart full of wonder because wonder seems to be the emotion I experience the most.  I am always wondering when things are going to happen (which usually leads to countdowns which I LOVE!), what they will feel like, why they happen, etc.  Wonder can lead to learning some of life's most challenging moments but I'm learning to see the beauty in it all.
